How we check prop firm data
Prop firms change prices and rules often, and one wrong drawdown number can cost you an account. So every value in the comparison carries its source and the date it was last checked.
- Step 1
We read the firm's own pages
Rules, prices and payout terms come from each firm's official site and help center. Every value stores the exact page it came from.
- Step 2
A person checks it
Values start as unverified. They're marked verified only after someone compares them against the source, and the date of that check is saved.
- Step 3
Gaps stay gaps
If a firm doesn't publish something, or we couldn't confirm it, you'll see "Not published" or "Not verified" rather than a guess.
- Step 4
Changes get logged
When a firm changes a rule we update the value, re-date it, and add the change to the firm's history and the site ticker.
Reading the labels
- Verified
- Checked against the linked source on the date shown.
- Not verified
- We have a value but haven't confirmed it yet. It's hidden until we do.
- Not published
- The firm doesn't state it publicly, or we couldn't find it.
How firms are ordered
The comparison is sorted by evaluation price unless you pick another column: account size, profit target, max drawdown, the profit target as a share of drawdown, or profit split. There are no featured slots and no paid placement. Firms that pay us a commission sort exactly like firms that don't.
How smart.trader makes money
The journal is free, with no paid tier. Some links to prop firms are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the firm may pay us a commission at no cost to you. Those links are labeled. Discount codes are shown separately from the rules.
